A HAND TAILORED SUIT, THE TIMELINE OF BESPOKE TAILORING (Recommended)

The Timeline of Bespoke Tailoring

Now that you have thought about what type of suit and garments you would like to wear on your wedding day; do you know how long you can sit on your idea for? Bespoke tailoring can take between eight – twelve weeks to be handmade, we do offer faster options (time permitting) please allow longer if we need to source cloth from branded mills, plus a further two weeks for final fitting and adjustments. We recommend for weddings you need to give a time-frame of a total of twelve weeks + to allow for you perfect suiting to arrive and fit you perfectly. For weddings in May we advise you begin this process in January; weddings in June should begin the process in February. . .

Why the Wait?

You may be wondering as to why the process takes so long. This timeline is realised when you understand the process itself. Did you know that your custom garments are handmade by our master cutters from our UK and Nepalese based production houses,  you start of with choosing your cloth and then we will design your dream masterpiece with you, for your big day taking you through every little detail.

You will begin by visiting us in one of our Tailoring Studios we have our Dublin Studio in the City Centre, we also tailor to Cork,  Limerick & also tailor to the UK Belfast & Birmingham Here is where you will meet our team of tailors and stylists. Working personally with you, you will decide upon your chosen suit and attire – this includes the cut of the clothing, the type, weight and colour of the fabric all the way down to the number of buttons on the cuffs of you blazer (read the full spectrum of custom detailing in part 1 of our Wedding Guide by clicking here). Your measurements will also be taken at this stage.

Following your first consult, your design specifics and personal measurements are ushered to our production house. Here the masters of the tailoring craft will cut your clothing from the finest quality of fabrics and create it to your measurement specifics – this is custom made to measure at its finest and takes a minimum of eight – twelve weeks to complete depending on cloth selected.

Upon completion, for protection your garments are encased in a protective sleeve (included complimentary for you to keep) to protect them during transit – this can take between three and up to seven business days as the garments travel to our studios. Once we receive them, we will notify you and at your next convenience arrange to get you booked into our studio to try on your bespoke garments. Any miniscule adjustments that need to be made are completed by our tailors within one to two weeks and then your suit leaves with you ready in time for your wedding day.
